WEBSHAKERS COMPLETES DESIGN FOR PLAYLATER, A SHOCKWAVE PORTAL SITE
New Website Will Provide Reviews and Guides to Shockwave Entertainment on the Internet.
San Jose, Calif., October 16, 2000 - Webshakers today announced the completion of the new site design for PlayLater.
PlayLater is the leading Shockwave portal site. Providing reviews, guides and information about shockwave entertainment
on the Internet, the new design will allow PlayLater to offer an improved interface and greater functionality.
"PlayLater was already a very popular site," said Webshakers President, Ronald Trang. "It's been around for a while,
so it was important to make sure we preserved its reputation for the fans, while enhancing the site to draw in
new customers."
Webshakers implemented several new features to the PlayLater site. Once produced entirely by hand, the entire website
is now generated using a custom GUI interface, powered by a SQL database. The proprietary interface allows an entire
website to be built form a single template. This allows non-technical authors to contribute to the site, and enables
a single webmaster to manage many complex functionalities.
Another enhancement was to the user interface. By simplifying the use of graphics and creating intuitive categories
for the directories, navigation throughout the site has been greatly improved.
"It used to take five clicks just find out what the latest action games were," said Webshakers co-founder Imran Niazi.
"With the new interface, you can get to anywhere in the site in two clicks or less."

"I was extremely impressed by the caliber of work and the turnaround time," said PlayLater webmaster Sang Choi.
"They were able to really understand who we are and who are audience is. It was that level of empathy that we were
looking for, and in the end, the site became something all of our fans could be proud of."
